Formed in 2001, Learn to Shoot NY provides various types of personal safety and specialized firearms training in both group or individual settings for the civilian market. With an emphasis on affordability, Learn to Shoot takes pride in offering courses designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to survive any type of firearm confrontation.
John J. Affinito
With over 30 years of experience, John has held multiple positions within the law enforcement and security field. He has worked in a number of positions within the Schenectady County Sheriff's Department, during which time he attended numerous firearms instruction development schools. He trained law enforcement officers in the use of firearms and now devotes his time to bringing that knowledge to the civilian sector. All courses offered through Learn to Shoot NY are taught by current/retired law enforcement instructors and certified NRA instructors.
